A landmark study in vascular surgery assessing whether endovascular repair of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) improves short-term outcomes compared to traditional open repair. The OVER trial demonstrated comparable results at 2-year follow-up between the two groups. This research paved the way forward for endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) and is a must know paper for all budding vascular surgeons!
